What you'll do:As a Trade Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will be tasked with executing the month-end trade accounting close per profit centre, reviewing trial balances for IFRS technical compliance, and preparing detailed monthly reports. Your role will also involve reconciling the middle office and trade accounting month and P/L's, supporting regional offices with technical accounting challenges during period close, and collaborating with the Middle Office to conclude on and document the IFRS accounting treatment for new structured deals. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to automate manual journal entries to ensure straight through processing to the general ledger.Execute the month-end trade accounting close per profit centre based on IFRSReview the department's trial balance for IFRS technical compliancePrepare detailed monthly IFRS P/L and working capital reportingReconcile the middle office and trade accounting month and P/L'sSupport regional offices with technical accounting challenges during period closeIn collaboration with the Middle Office, conclude on and document the IFRS accounting treatment for new structured deals in advance of executionAutomate manual journal entries to ensure straight through processing to the general ledgerRequirements:The ideal candidate for this Trade Accountant position brings a Chartered Accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) along with at least 2 years' post articles experience in a similar role.Chartered Accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA)At least 2 years' post articles experience in a similar roleAdvanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially ExcelKeen interest in trading, derivatives, business process automation, internal control, efficiency, and improvement
