The Financial Assistant is an essential role within the finance and accounting department, contributing to various financial activities within the Checkers South Division. This role demands keen attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting systems and principles. The Financial Assistant is tasked with a diverse range of administrative and clerical duties closely associated with accounting procedures.Job Specification Key Responsibilities: Your day-to-day tasks will include a vast range of financial tasks, ensuring smooth functionality within the finance team. The responsibilities include: Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records is a primary responsibility. This involves recording and organising various financial documents such as invoices, expenses, and transactions.OfferAccounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Assisting in processing invoices, payments, and receivables is crucial. You will ensure that payments are processed accurately and on time, and that outstanding invoices are tracked and followed up as necessary. Bank Reconciliation: You will play a role in monitoring financial transactions and reconciling bank statements. Reconciling bank statements is an essential task to ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and that there are no discrepancies between internal records and bank statements. Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets is part of the role. You need to compile financial data and prepare reports for internal use as well as external stakeholders. Administrative Duties: Performing various administrative tasks such as managing spreadsheets, data entry, and managing correspondence related to financial matters supporting the smooth functioning of the finance department. Customer and Vendor Communication: Responding to inquiries from clients, vendors, and internal staff regarding financial transactions and records. You may need to communicate with various stakeholders to clarify financial matters or resolve issues. Undertake any other financial or administrative duties that may be assigned by the Divisional Financial Manager. Key Skills:
