Duties & Responsibilities
Bookkeeper
Minimum 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting position.
Bookkeeping/Accounting qualification is a prerequisite.
SAGE Business Cloud Accounting software experience an advantage.

Qualification
Bcom Accounting Degree/Bookkeeping tertiary
Bookkeeper

Bookkeeping responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating Invoices/Pro Forma invoices on Sage
- Review and reconcile Supplier transactions
- Capture Supplier Invoices
- Capture weekly petty cash in the relevant cash book
- Allocate the bank cash book daily (bank feed active) and reconcile monthly
- Match payments received to customer invoices where applicable
- Match payments made to supplier invoices or allocate to ad hoc expenses
- Complete and submit weekly Payments List to Management for payment
- Review month end transactions (with external Tax Accountant)
- Reconcile income and expenses for VAT (with external Tax Accountant)
- Update various excel spreadsheets for Management on an ongoing basis
- Implement changes to Sage and Management Reports when necessary
- Outgoing Forex payments.
- Incoming foreign payments clearing
- Updating and maintaining files and records of financial transactions
- Year End Closing journals (with external Tax Accountant)
*Other tasks may be required from Management from time to time.
