Lead my client's finance team to new heights as their Divisional Finance Manager!Duties & ResponsibilitiesMy client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Divisional Finance Manager to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the Support Services team and managing a wide range of financial functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Lead and oversee the Support Services team, ensuring all functions are performed efficiently and effectively.
• Bank Signatory: Authorize EFT payments and new creditor banking details to ensure secure and timely transactions.
• Journal Authorization: Approve journals to maintain accurate financial records.
• POS System Management: Oversee the release of purchase orders to ensure proper management of the POS system.
• Financial Reviews: Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
• Statistical Reporting: Review monthly statistics and Group charges, including VAT submissions, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Year-End Audit and Budgets: Support year-end audits and budget preparations, including consolidation of Support Services accounts and assistance with Group consolidation. Prepare annual financial statements for dormant companies.
• Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare flash reports, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and forecasts to provide accurate financial insights.
• Departmental Support: Assist departmental management with financial queries and budget preparations to support informed decision-making.
• Payroll Schedules: Prepare monthly group support services fringe benefit company car schedules for payroll, including deduction schedules.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly budget vs actual variance analysis to monitor financial performance.
• Control Procedures: Ensure control procedures are in place and operating effectively to safeguard company assets.
• Adhoc Management Accounting: Perform additional group management accounting tasks as needed to support overall financial management.

Qualifications and Experience needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5 years proven experience in a similar finance management role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
