Leading natural stone fabricator for African markets seeks to employ an experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance team based in Johannesburg East.Duties & ResponsibilitiesJob & Company Description:
The purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for the full finance function of the business. The role also include costing and requires an incumbent with a thorough understanding of a project based environment.

This position will report directly to the Group Financial Manager.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop financial well-being of division by providing full spectrum of financial services
• Review and interpret monthly management accounts, and further recommendations
• Analyse and identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, and assist with strategic analysis and planning
• Establish finance and operational strategies
• Review and sign off on journals
• Tracking of WIP and budget control
• Prepare annual financial statements
• Assist with the implementation of new systems
• Support project analysis and the validation of plans

Education:
Completed BCom Finance or Accounting degree

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 12 to 15 years' experience in a financial controllership role essential
• Project driven industry experience essential
• Sage Evolution expert skills
• Experience with cost control and financial analysis
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong business partnering and reporting skills
• Business and financial acumen
• Meticulous attention to detail
