- Advanced excel, working experience on accounting programs, ability to work independently, reliable, punctual.
Description of key performance areas:
- Project management support - Full function support - Attending Meetings with various business managers, supporting the business in ensuring that all projects are correctly classified between Capex and Opex. Periodic review/audit of payback proposal submitted by business vs actual achievement.
- Asset register maintenance - Ensuring all projects are in line with the current approved budget, maintain a file with current projects, checking postings to the GL is correct, complete the annual remaining useful life assessment and annual insurance declarations.
- Motor vehicle claims - Maintain a list of motor vehicles and co-ordinate and insurance claims with insurers. Disposal of vehicles that are scrapped by insurance.
- Reporting - Produce/update the monthly capital expenditure report for the management pack. Prepare the monthly cashflow forecast for the capital expenditure. Prepare creditors spend report for the management pack monthly.
- Stock counts and adjustments - Act as an auditor for quarterly stock counts. Ensuring compliance.
- Budgets - Interaction with all departments on the capital expenditure budgets processed annually. Provide support to operations teams when preparing fixed cost budgets.
- ERP Admin - Month end closing of fixed asset module.
- Balance sheet reconciliations - Perform allocated balance sheet reconciliations within specific times.
- Internal control - Ensuring all change control documents are in place and are properly adhered
Qualifications:
- BCom degree (or CIMA) with a major in accounting, management accounting or finance
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years work experience in a deadline driven environment
- Previous asset management experience an advantage
- (Specifically proven sage x3 experience will be an advantage)
