Job Overview:You'll be responsible for the capturing and reconciliation of financial data, as well as preparing and analysing various cost and budget reports. Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' work experience as an Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant or similar role
Matric
Qualification relating to Finance or Accounting
Own reliable Transport
Excellent Excel Skills - V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and Formulas
Pastel Evolution, SAP or BPO
Excellent analytical skills
The ability to combine different data to assist with making important financial decisions
Strong account reconciliation skills
Knowledge of accounting procedures
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Functions and Responsibilities:
Post daily transactions in the Cashbook.
Analyze profit margins and prepare related reports.
Maintain and manage cost and expense databases.
Develop and sustain data accumulation systems.
Monitor fixed costs and ensure alignment with recurring expenses.
Track expenses against budgets and prepare monthly income statements for the FD.
Perform monthly substantive testing and reconcile Balance Sheet items for FD submission.
Prepare Budget Reports by region and trading entity.
Process and capture staff and branch expense claims monthly.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and track fleet expenses.
Assist with quarterly stock takes and annual financial audits.
Provide ad hoc accounting support and help with month-end and year-end closing.
Recommend cost-effective solutions and assist procurement with import orders based on sales history and supplier lead times.
R22 000 - R25 000 - Monthly plus medical aid contribution, KPI bonus 3 x annually
