Assistant Management Accountant

Your new company
A successful company operating on a worldwide basis with a strong customer base is looking to expand their team, based in the South Stockport area.

Your new role
Working closely with the Finance Controller, you will liaise with the accounts assistants on closing the ledgers at month end and resolving any queries, through to assisting with the monthly management accounts. At the month end, you will process multiple journals, reconcile accruals/prepayments, intercompany, reconcile the balance sheet, produce reports on budgets and cashflow as well as assist with the year-end audit process. Once you have settled into the position, you are likely to take responsibility for two of the group accounts on a monthly basis, reviewing and producing reports on sales figures, variance analysis etc.

What you'll need to succeed
You will already possess current experience in both daily accounting processes with some month-end duties as well. There is flexibility in being part qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience. Excellent communication skills are required in order to liaise with colleagues, stakeholders and external contacts, along with strong Excel/IT skills. The ability to work collaboratively with your team is essential in succeeding in this position.
