The Role
Due to continual growth of the business, this company is looking to hire a Payroll Assistant to add value to the finance team whilst also developing and progressing their own payroll skillset with room for growth.

The Role
Due to continual growth of the business, this company is looking to hire a Payroll Assistant to add value to the finance team whilst also developing and progressing their own payroll skillset with room for growth.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Payroll Team Leader in processing payroll in-house
- Liaising with an outsourced payroll company as required.
- Dealing with employee queries, liaising with HR and administering payroll deduction schemes (pension, childcare vouchers, court orders etc.).
- Ensuring New Starter and Leaver information is processed in a timely manner.
- Assisting with other accounting responsibilities including processing journals, reconciliations, Intercompany recharges, and payroll variances.
- Processing & preparing of statutory documentation such as pay slips, P45, P46 and P60's, P11Ds.
- Assisting the Payroll Team Leader in improving payroll processes where appropriate.
- Managing the payroll & payments inbox.
- Supporting the wider Finance function by generating payments runs & processing ad hoc payments.
- Employee expense management (Concur) - including auditing expenses.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must display the following attributes:
- You have previous experience in an payroll role with general experience.
- You are able to work in a fast paced office with a many tasks to be completed.
- You are able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your workload.
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You are proficient in Microsoft packages.
- Knowledge of SAGE systems would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
