Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a business based on the outskirts of Preston who have local depots across the UK to ensure they offer their customers the best possible service. This business provides a range of effective services, quality products and comprehensive training courses, and they have been operating for over 75 years. They are now recruiting for a Credit Controller on a full-time and permanent basis to join their finance team.
Your new role as the Credit Controller:
Recover customer arrears via telephone, written communications, and/or any other digital methods introduced into the department/function
Through employing strong negotiation and communication skills, confirm appropriate and sustainable repayment terms and financial settlements with customers
Through problem solving and decision making determine debt collection strategies relevant for the customer and the Company
Investigating and resolving disputes or discrepancies related to debts
Tracking and documenting all communication and collection efforts
Providing regular updates on collection progress to the Credit Control and Group Finance Manager
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Drafting initial letters and dealing with ongoing correspondence
Preparing files for litigation and dealing with legal proceedings
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to debt collection
Ability to work independently and meet targets
Dealing with Money Claims Online including issuing of claims through to CCJs
Liaising and corresponding with 3rd parties in relation to debt collections
Experience & Qualifications required to apply:
Expert understanding of relevant Debt Recovery Processes
Confident and self-aware with the ability to communicate professionally
Able to maintain performance in stressful and challenging circumstances
Able to build and maintain long-term professional relationships both internally and externally
Produce high quality work ensuring recording and use of systems is accurate and BI is analysed and acted upon
Effective organisation to ensure priorities, goals and deadlines are achieved.
