Job Description

We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to cover maternity leave to join the finance team based at our offices in Loughborough. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance team. The main function of this role is to provide accurate and timely management accounts to the Financial Controller & Head of Finance.

Description:

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing the monthly management accounts for submission to the Board of Directors
• Analytical interrogation of financial data and present findings to management team
• Working with external auditors to deliver annual statutory accounts
• Collating weekly and monthly payroll data for submission to third party payroll provider for processing
• Ongoing development of financial controls and procedures
• Maintenance and reconciliation of the balance sheet including fixed asset registers
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds and PSA returns to HMRC
• Development of monthly cost centre reviews
• Deputise for Financial Controller as required

Experience:

Candidates wishing to apply for the role should demonstrate the following:

Essential

• Recognised UK Accountancy qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• 2-3 plus years recent experience in a similar role
• Excel skills to include VLOOKUPs, pivot tables and formulas
• Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Good organisational skills

Desirable

• Experience of Dynamics 365

For this position we are looking for a confident and experienced Management Accountant with strong analytical skills that can deliver accurate financial information in a timely manner.
