Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be partnered with a global professional services firm to source suitable applicants for the role of Credit Control Manager, based in Glasgow City Centre.

As part of the wider business, you will be responsible for managing the credit control team in Glasgow, where you will facilitate payment amounts due and payable, managing aged debt and potential losses, collecting payments of outstanding bills, whilst liaising with various stakeholders in the process.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the debtor portfolio, ensuring timely invoice collection.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce debtor days and ageing.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, reviewing and monitoring debtor balances.
  • Providing reports and forecast to senior stakeholders on debtor status, as well as highlighting potential risks.
  • Developing processes, systems and procedures to continually drive efficiencies.
  • Communicating with senior global stakeholders, you will identify accounts with bad debt risk and ensure appropriate actions are taken to minimise the risk.
  • Developing the skills of the team and setting goals for development, in order to grow within the role.
  • Supporting transformation projects.
  • Prioritising the workload of yourself and the team accordingly.
  • Undertaking any other rad hoc duties/projects.


Applicants will ideally have a minimum of 5 years experience of credit control management, preferably within a large corporate or global organisation. In addition, you will have experience of developing and implementing credit control policies and procedures, as well as leading and mentoring a team. You will have strong Microsoft Excel and numerical skills. Overall, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders on a local and global level.
