The Opportunity

The Group Accountant will be joining our existing Group Finance team to support our growing aspirations! The role will report into the Head of Financial Reporting and will require a strong technical financial accounting background to support with statutory and regulatory matters. Within the team you will be providing information and insight for the Group Executive Board and the Holdings board to help them to understand the key financial data within the business and how this should support and shape the business as it continues to build on its success.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of quarterly financial consolidation for internal and external stakeholders
• Take a lead in preparation of the year end consolidation, group financial statements and subsidiary statutory accounts
• Work with the Head of Financial Reporting to drive improvements in the quality of analysis and insightful key metrics to help to drive actions to improvement business performance
• Preparation and review of weekly cash flow forecasts and providing support to Group Treasury in the management of our bank debt facility and financial covenants
• Monthly financial reporting to the Group Executive Board and Holdings Board

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified with ACA or ACCA
• Audit background is highly desirable
• Technically strong experience preparing financial statements, consolidations and working with cash flow reporting
• Systems literate with excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of Cognos or TM1 are desirable but not essential
• Confidence in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
