Brief intro to the role:
TransferRoom is looking for a Financial Controller to join us in the team in London on a permanent basis reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The individual will be responsible for the day to day financial operations of the business and assist in ensuring the business is set up for further complexities as the business scales and grows internationally.

TransferRoom is looking for a Financial Controller to join us in the team in London on a permanent basis reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The individual will be responsible for the day to day financial operations of the business and assist in ensuring the business is set up for further complexities as the business scales and grows internationally.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing, mentor and coach the development of the Accounts Assistant and Finance Operations Manager
- Leading the move away from Xero to an ERP system like Netsuite or Sage Intacct
- Day-to-day oversight and management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables of the business, and ensuring efficient and accurate processing of daily transactions.
- Own the month end close process and the timely and accurate preparation of the management accounts
- Tax reporting & compliance for all VAT filing deadlines in the UK and Internationally and the R&D tax credit process
- Own the financial reporting and production of the year end statutory accounts
- Technical accounting to ensure all technical papers are created and followed by accounting policies
- Working closely with the FP&A Manager on the reforecast and budgeting cycles
- Ensuring compliance with all international regulatory requirements
- Lead the external auditor selection process and subsequently be responsible for the day-to-day management of the annual audit process
- Automation and process improvements. Carry out a full review of the existing controls, make improvements and streamline any workflows.
Who you are:
- ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified with strong post qualification SaaS experience, ideally in a similar position within a scaling organisation
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Strong people management skills and experience leading a team
- Experience with setting up entities internationally
- Strong consolidation experience
- Xero experience
- Netsuite / Sage Intacct experience
- Gone through an ERP transition
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
- Very data driven and detail oriented
