Are you an experienced and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk ready for a new challenge? Do you thrive in a busy work environment with many responsibilities to juggle? If so, we have a fantastic role for you. We are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing firm based in Morecambe, looking to hire on a permanent basis. Interviews are taking place ASAP. This opportunity has arisen due to a team member moving on, and you will be joining a strong finance team.
Duties will include:
* Matching and coding invoices, ensuring VAT is correct
* Setting up new supplier accounts and managing existing ones
* Statement reconciliations
* Managing all purchase ledger enquiries and resolving queries
* Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
* Confidently making changes and improving processes
* Payment entries
* Month-end support
* General administration, including reconciliation of credit cards and allocating cash receipts
Your Profile:
* Previous experience in purchase ledger
* Confident with strong communication skills to work closely with suppliers and the wider business
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn
* High attention to detail
* Experience using Microsoft Excel and online accounting software
* AAT qualification or working towards one would be great but not essential
In return:
You will be working within a supportive finance team where there is room for progression. You will be paid £26,000 per annum and will receive 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays (Imagine what you could do with an extra day off!) Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Free parking is available on site.
