Are you an enthusiastic accounting professional looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic, social business? Stafflex is currently recruiting for a growing accountancy firm in Huddersfield seeking a skilled Semi-Senior Accountant to join their team!
We're looking for a permanent Semi-Senior Accountant to handle various financial tasks, including preparing accounts and tax returns for small to medium-sized businesses. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work with a range of clients and expand your skills in a supportive environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statements for small and medium-sized limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
Corporation tax calculations and submissions
Preparation of management accounts
Self Assessment tax returns
Potential to attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
Assist with the training of apprentices
Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)
Preparation of P11ds (desirable)
Payroll experience (desirable)
Any other general accountancy/administrative work as requiredThe Ideal Candidate:
At least 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice
AAT qualified individual looking to progress their career
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Exceptional communication skills with a good telephone manner
Good written and technical skills
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong record-keeping skillsWhat's on offer:
Salary up to £30,000 per annum
28 days holiday + 3 days over Christmas (office shutdown)
Flexible working hours and hybrid options (up to 2 days per week from home)
