Role: Bookkeeper
Salary:
£32,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am until 5pm
Location:
Horbury, Wakefield
Our client is an accountancy firm which provides a professional yet personal service to individuals and businesses alike.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Bookkeeping Assistant with Payroll Experience to support this already established accountancy business. You will be responsible for bookkeeping & payroll duties across the board.
Key
Responsibilities:
Speak to HMRC
Chase client for information
Review nominal ledger for correct reconciliation
Review own transactions for attention to detail ensure correct Vat treatment
Prepare draft VAT returns
Review aged payables and aged receivables - Keeping ledger tidy
Process sales and purchase invoices
Reconcile bank transactions
Year end submissions including P60
Ensuring all tax codes are correct for individuals
Calculating SMP / SSP / SPP etc
Calculating payrolls manually to ensure workings correct
Journal entries on accounting software
Contacting client with HMRC liabilities
Pension uploads with various providers
Full contact with client to run payrolls
Full contact with client to run payrolls
Processing weekly, monthly and 4 weekly payroll from information client sends in, including Director only payrollsThe successful candidate will have:
Experience using; Xero, Brightpay
Accountancy practise experience
Bookkeeping Experience
Full payroll knowledge
CIS (desirable)
