Are you an enthusiastic bookkeeping professional looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic, social business? Stafflex are currently recruiting for a growing accountancy firm in Huddersfield seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with payroll experience to join their team!
We're looking for a permanent Bookkeeper to handle various financial tasks, including VAT returns and payroll duties. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work with a range of clients and expand your skills in a supportive environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Data entry using various accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, etc.).
Maintaining accurate client records.
Producing financial reports for clients.
Managing and submitting client VAT returns.
Processing standard monthly wages.
Assisting with CIS return submissions.
Working on monthly HMRC submissions for wages and CIS returns.The Ideal Candidate:
At least 3 years of bookkeeping and data entry experience.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud.
Experience with payroll software (e.g., Brightpay, Sage payroll) is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Exceptional communication skills with a good telephone manner.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.What's on offer:
Salary up to £25,000 per annum (Pro rata if part-time)
28 days holiday + 3 days over Christmas (office shutdown)
Flexible working hours and hybrid options (up to 2 days per week from home)
Free onsite parking
Regular social events and team activities
Option to buy extra holidays
5 day paid annually for voluntary work
