Objective:
We are currently looking for a GM - Finance to work directly with the Founders in a senior role. The candidate will be expected to establish, grow and lead partnerships with key investors and stakeholders at a state, national and global level. Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Main duties and
Responsibilities:
â Leading the investor partnerships value chain (ranging across developing specific initiatives with different investors, monitoring implementation, conducting analysis and preparing reports to manage relationships with the investors).
â Developing strategic partnerships and collaborations with governments and innovative organizations in the education space to develop cutting edge solutions.
â Managing relationships and communications with Board members and advisors, impact funds, foundations, HNIs and CSR organizations.
â Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals. Liaison with Bank and other funding sources
â Researching investors and understanding critical requirements for each investor.
â Representing Nalanda Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd at national and international events and symposia to create greater visibility and a partnerships and advocacy pipeline.
â Designing and conducting investor events to develop relationships (financial, knowledge sharing, etc.) with new partners and leverage the national focus on foundational skills.
â Any other activities required to generate funds and develop partnerships to enable exponential expansion of Nalanda Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd.
â Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
â Oversees the preparation of all financial accounts, including tax returns, income statements, Balance sheets finalization, shareholder reports, and other applicable legal reports.
â Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
â Determine expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial goals, tax status, risk tolerance to develop a financial plan.
â Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
â Oversee taxes and abide by the regulations.
â Adhere to the law and companyâs policies.
â Analyze and manage the organizationâs liabilities and investments.
â Track and ensure cash flow is appropriate and sustainable.
â Examines operations to identify areas that require restructuring, downsizing, or elimination.
â Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory.
â Presenting all required financial MIS to Management.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE â KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
â Candidates interested in social enterprises as a means of creating impact and wishing to learn how to run and scale such organizations.
â Preferred â Start-up/Edtech Company.
â Candidates with strong English communication skills and expertise in Powerpoint and Excel (or willingness to learn rapidly).
â Education qualification: Minimum graduate with 10-12 years of work experience, Qualified Chartered Accountant - CA with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
â Willingness to travel to different locations across India, as required.
â Excellent knowledge of data analysis, forecasting and financial planning.
â Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in an entrepreneurial environment.
â Ability to take leadership in ambiguous situations, even when unsupervised.
â Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
â Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
â Excellent management and supervisory skills.
â Sound knowledge and experience in statutory compliances under GST, Income Tax, TDS and Companies Act.
