Responsibilities Process Management:
Oversee and manage the record-to-report process, which includes journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial close activities.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of 40 plus R2R professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure the team's productivity and performance meet or exceed established goals.
Financial Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant reports for internal stakeholders.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the R2R process.
Variance Analysis:
Analyze financial data and variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide insights into the balance sheet flux.
Audit Support:
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring audit requirements are met and audit findings are addressed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other finance and operational teams to gather information, resolve issues, and improve data quality.
Training and Development:
Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in finance and accounting.
Assist in various global transformation initiatives and projects, like implementation of S4 Hana, Synchronization of accounting policies etc.
Your Role Accountabilities
The R2R lead is a key role in the finance and accounting department of an organization. This role involves managing a team of professionals responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial data, as well as delivering timely and accurate financial reports.
Qualifications & Experience
A graduate or post graduate in accountancy 14+ years of post-qualification accounting experience in international and matrix organization with a focus on record to report processes.
Must have strong practical and theoretical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
Very good written and spoken English is a must.
Proficient and experienced in MS Office applications, command over excel is a must.
Experience with enterprise information systems (SAP, S/4 HANA).
High Integrity team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with others and promote positive working relationships across the organization.
Motivated by challenging, high-energy, flexible environment. Ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent and changing situations.
The ability to plan and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines is fundamental so too is effective time management of workflow to meet accounting deadlines.
