Objective

Responsible for month end closing process for accounting (according to Westlake's closing timetables and requirements)

Essential Functions

• Ascertains compliance with Westlake Policies & Procedures and ensure accuracy of General Ledgers
• Preparation of journal entries
• Ensure that accruals are properly recorded and analyzed
• Preparation and review of account reconciliations
• Preparation of reporting schedules
• Monthly cycles:

• Manual intercompany invoicing
• GRIR process
• Intercompany reconciliation
• Bonus accruals
• FX revaluation
• Lease accounting entries

Analysis of the various accounts and variances per legal entities, obtain explanations on deviations and prepare a summarized reporting on a monthly basisParticipating in project groups in order to implement (new) accounting policies & processes.Prepare and coordinate documentation for internal/external auditorsStatutory Accounting. Prepare documentation including trend analysisClose interface with Regional Controllers

Qualifications

• B. Com, MBA Finance, BBA Finance
• Very good accounting knowledge.
• SAP (G/L module) experience is must.
• 1-3 years experience mainly in accounting (ideally in cash or GL accounting);
• Chemical industry background a plus
• Good interpersonal/problem solving skills
• Able to handle multi-tasks simultaneously
• Multi-Language, a plus, English required
