Minimum Job Requirements:
C.A. (S.A.) essential (non-neg).
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience as a Financial Manager within a FMCG environment, a strong advantage.
Competencies:
Team player with good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent planning, organising, time management, analytic and problem-solving skills.
Assertive, decisive and diplomatic.
Ability to translate business strategy into tactical plans in relation to financial objectives.
Detailed understanding of the processes and systems within Supply Chain operations.
Understanding of revenue versus cost relationship and ability to translate into a flexible budget.
Ability to develop a working knowledge and understanding of supplier, end user and service provider businesses and the impact on customer service.
Key Performance Areas:Report to the Finance Executive, with a dotted line to the Marketing Executive:
Financial Management:
Maximise return on investment
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Manage contracts within budget
Internally optimise sales mix
Monitor GPs daily
Perform strategic evaluation of new products and promotions to drive new business
Analyse and report back on product ROI
Participate in manufacturer income supplier negotiations to optimise income
Monitor and manage supplier variable rebates and trade terms
Evaluate the financial impact on working capital/profit.
Budget and Cost Control:
Review monthly variable costs against budget
Build operational efficiencies through continuous improvement
Provide financial guidance to the Marketing department
Analyse effectiveness of promotions
Monitor, recon and report back on overall budget.
Control Capex
Reporting:
Report weekly/monthly financial flash reports and review forecasts with cost centre owners.
Staff and Leadership:
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Measure financial KPA's of department management
Provide leadership in line with company values
Manage and lead a small team.
Adhoc Projects:
Perform any finance related projects as requested by the Divisional Finance Executive and/or Marketing Executive.
R1.1 million per annum (cost to company)
