Finance Director

Your new company
You'll be joining an established, family-run insurance business in East Lancashire, servicing customers nationally. They pride themselves on their quality of service to their customers, and have excellent retention amongst their employees.

Your new role
You will lead the Group Finance function, including managing a small team, and oversee the preparation of and presentation of monthly management accounts, plus the purchase ledger payment, supplier contracts and maintaining company assets. You will also liaise with the bank and auditors, and provide strategic advice and insight to the board. Ideas for process improvements will be welcomed, as will taking a long-term view of how the company can grow and continue to provide excellent service to its customers. This role is full-time onsite.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or be qualified by experience, and will have experience as a finance leader within a small business where you have owned the finance function. You will have experience of working closely with senior stakeholders and would be comfortable presenting ideas to a board of directors, and will have managed a small finance team, nurturing talent, and spotting potential for development. Experience in the insurance industry is desirable, but not essential.
