Following a recent structural change, we have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team. This role is based full time in our offices in Colchester.
The role will involve complete control over the records, stock, processing and reporting of our solar division of the group.
Support for the growth of the solar division will be provided by the role in the form of assisting the Group Finance Manager with financial modelling, scenario testing and assisting with the preparation of proposals to customers.
The division is made up of four companies which source and build ground mounted and rooftop solar solutions.
We would welcome applications from Management Accountants with industry experience and those new from practice who are willing to learn the role.The candidates should be dedicated and hard working with the ability to communicate well with the wider business.
We have a proven track record of growing the solar construction division of the group and will continue to do so.

Essential Responsibilities
- Accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliation of ledgers
- Maintain stock management processes to ensure accurate tracking of stock
- Support the division for new business proposals
- Working with the divisional leaders to prepare monthly cash forecasts
- Checking supplier payment runs
- Backup for the daily reconciliation of the bank account
- Assisting the operational teams with management of the customer ledger
- Monitoring of projects budget vs actuals
- Management and maintenance of the supplier ledger
- Management of the invoice approval system
- Any other adhoc tasks as required by the business
- Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
Key Skills
- AAT at a minimum, part qualified CIMA/ACCA or QBE
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Management Accountant is preferable, but not essential
- Good knowledge of Xero and Microsoft packages particularly Excel
- Strong work ethic

- Good team player
- Ability to manage time effectively
