Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Management of the accounting function with a focus on compliance
- VAT returns
- Cashflow for invoice financing
- CIS returns
- Monitoring costs for works in progress
- Invoice processing - sales and purchase ledger
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Payroll administration, preparing for external accountants
- Posting journals
- Monthly supplier statement reconciliation
- Supervising a junior team member
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Bookkeeper / Assistant Finance Manager / Assistant Accountant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk
- Construction industry / CIS exposure
- To be a confident communicator, happy to liaise with a range of personalities
- Working knowledge of Excel, including the ability to manipulate large data sets
