Assistant Accountant

Description:

Hunter Savage are delighted to support a returning client in the FMCG industry, who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their strong finance team on a permanent basis. The Assistant Accountant will assist the Management Accountant, to prepare and deliver comprehensive P&L reports and related financial information. Additionally, provide crucial support to the Management Accountant through in-depth business analysis.

The Role:

• Produce and submit weekly financial statements for review by the Management Accountant and the Group.


• Create and distribute weekly key performance indicators (KPIs) to the broader management team.


• Perform weekly bank reconciliations for both sterling and euro accounts.


• Offer support to the broader Finance Department.


• Provide backup support for Payroll operations.

The Person:

• Possess a technician qualification, part accountancy qualification, or an equivalent certification.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure.


• Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel (including Pivot tables and V lookups).


• Exhibit first-class attention to detail and accuracy.


• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
