Salary:
£45,000 - £50,000
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Formed and owned by the current directors, the firm has grown organically and through strategic acquisition. With a varied portfolio of clients, the core service of the business relies on a team effort to produce and deliver great accounting outcomes. The team in Bristol consists of seventeen members, and with a newly acquired firm based in the east of England, there is an ambition to drive fees through new client acquisition.

Main Duties
Client Work:
Completion of statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, management accounts, tax computation, VAT returns, payroll.
Provide general advice to clients regarding UK Companies and Partnerships.
Technical Assistance:
Support members of the accounting services department.
Keep up to date with accounting regulations and inform clients of any changes.
Monitoring and Process Improvement:
Assist Directors in monitoring outstanding client work and ensure timely completion by the accounting services team.
Identify and implement improved working processes.
Document and maintain work processes to quality assurance levels.
System Design and Implementation:
Design and implement new or improved accounting systems for clients.
Provide internal training for client staff on new systems.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present client management accounts.
Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and cashflows as required.
Networking and Business Development:
Network and create new client and business contacts for the SME department.
Establish strong business links and channels to access new business.
Technical Experience:
VAT technical experience.
CIS technical experience.
Personal Attributes
Experienced accountant who enjoys managing their own client files.
Natural ability to converse with clients and form lasting relationships.
Capable of handling a robust workload while managing team members to deliver required documents.
Requirements
Previous experience working within a practice, including producing a full set of accounts and both personal and corporate tax computations.
