ABOUT THE ROLE
The Global Credit Controller plays a critical role in the success of the finance function. The role looks after the efficient running of the sales ledger, working closely with the sales and operations teams. The role also supports the month end process and reporting. The accuracy of the financial data, reconciliations and debtor relationships form the foundations of building a world class finance operation. This is a growing role that works closely with the finance team, the wider business and external customers. We are a small but fast-growing team and expect this individual to roll up their sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the finance function.

This role will look after our UK and US credit control operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Accounts receivable

• Approval of sales invoices ensuring completeness and accuracy
  
• Allocation of customer cash receipts based on remittances
  
• Raising credit notes and allocation of customer rebates/deductions for larger customers
  
• Building strong relationships with key customers, ensuring all queries are resolved quickly and efficiently
  
• Chasing customers for payment to ensuring timely cash collection
  
• Regular reconciliation of customer accounts to statements/customer portals
  
• Monthly reconciliation with our invoice financing partner
  
• Establishing an effective credit control process with weekly meetings and reports to the business
  
• Weekly KPI reports and focus on reducing debtor days
  
• Managing new customer approval & set up process
  
• Agreeing new customer credit limits with insurers & managing existing limits, keeping the business informed of changes
  
• Reviewing and documenting internal processes for new systems replacement
  

Cashflow

• Weekly cash receipts reporting analysis
  
• Debtors cashflow process
  

Month end

• Completion and reconciliation of sales to underlying operational systems
  
• Bank reconciliations
  
• Balance sheet reconciliations
  

Ad hoc

• Assisting the Financial Controller with systems and process improvements
  
• Assisting with year end audit
  
• Developing of reporting as required
  

ABOUT YOUR TEAM You will be working alongside our global Finance team of 9 people strong. You will directly report to our Group Financial Controller and would work collaborative with our Sales team, the Operations team and deal with external stakeholders on a regular basis. Since you will be working on a global scale, you would also collaborate frequently with the US team. ABOUT YOU
Essential Skills:

• Worked in a fast paced environment with a solid understanding of AR and credit control best practices
  
• Management of debtors ledger in a medium/large business
  
• Excellent communication skills & experience dealing with customers
  
• Demonstrable experience of improving finance processes having worked in organisations where change has been implemented or an understanding of what good processes look like
  
• Good understanding of month end adjustments and the ability to manipulate data to perform reconciliations & ensure completeness of data
  
• Taking ownership and delivery of key measurable results
  
• Problem solver and ability to work in an environment of constant change where not everything works
  

Desirable Skills:

• Worked in high growth FMCG environment.
  
• Experience working with Xero
  
• Familiarity with Drinks/Coffee/Oat milk manufacturing business
  

Others:

• Sense of of fun, adventure, hands on person and a can-do approach
  
• Not phased by constant change and challenges. Willing to adapt and implement solutions

YOUR COMMITMENT
You’ll be based out of our office in East London. Work from home flexibility is supported but the office will be your base and allow you to bring the energy and creativity to help educate and inspire our team.

Hours of work will generally be 9.00am - 5:30 pm but may vary with workload or by agreement. Flexibility may be required due to travel requirements.
