Job Duties
To safeguard the University's assets to minimize risk, this position performs updates to the Financial System for assets purchased, tagging of assets, performs reconciliations, and prepares monthly standard reports, annual financial reports/studies, and the University's annual financial statements. This position coordinates the annual physical inventory of assets. This position also assists in the Auditor of Public Accounts' annual audit process.

Minimum Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of fixed assets management and reporting requirements.
- Ability to complete advanced analysis and reconciliations for fixed asset data, coordinate and conduct physical asset inventories, and update and maintain the financial system of new and existing capital and non-capital fixed assets.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to interpret GAAP as it relates to colleges and universities
- Ability to meet and prioritize competing deadlines and prepare financial statements and footnotes related to fixed asset reporting.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial regulations and prepare financial reports and statements as required by financial regulations and standards.
- Pays attention to detail and is proficient with technology used in the financial operation.
- Ability to interpret federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders of the University.
- Proficient in the use of standard office software applicants, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Experience and training in fixed assets policies and procedures.
- Experience with Fixed Asset Management including coordination of inventory of assets.
- Extensive experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of preparing financial statements and financial reports.
- Extensive experience in using financial accounting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fixed asset management at a higher Education University of Local Government.
