30066 - SENIOR GASOLINE TRADER

At Eni, we are looking for a Senior Gasoline Trader within ETB in London. You will be responsible for the trading of physical gasoline and associated derivatives.

As a member of the portfolio management and trading department at ETB, you will be responsible for:
  • Negotiating and concluding market transactions on a spot/term basis within an agreed strategy to generate value for ETB;
  • conducting a comprehensive analysis of gasoline markets, including supply and demand dynamics, price trends, and geopolitical factors;
  • Developing and implementing trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and manage risks;
  • Providing insight and support to the development of the long-term products trading strategy for ETB;
  • building and maintaining key relationships with other trading companies, refiners and end users;
  • Identifying and assessing potential risks in trading activities and adopting strategies to mitigate them;
  • Developing and presenting analysis to management to support future trading positions and overall trading strategy;
  • Monitoring the developments in the market and relevant market intelligence to share insights and strategies;
  • Supporting the origination team in developing long-term assets and positions in line with products trading strategy;
  • Liaising with charterers in shipping and operations to ensure all physical movements are executed safely and efficiently;
  • Guiding and mentoring the Trading Analysts/Juniors and contributing to their professional development;
  • Ensuring all trading activity is always in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with trading counterparties;
  • Negotiating term and spot contracts with refiners, traders and end users;
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the gasoline market and energy markets in general;
  • Devising proprietary trading strategies, both on physical and derivatives;
  • Liaising with Shipping for the chartering of shipping, on a spot or term basis;
  • Providing analytical assessments to support trading decisions;
  • Mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Managing price risk exposure on the trading book;


This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
  • Preferred Educational Qualification is a Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related field;
  • Experience in trading;
  • Experience with derivative instruments for hedging; strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in trading platforms and financial modelling;
  • in-depth knowledge of gasoline markets, including physical and futures trading;
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements
  • Experience of refining operations and processes considered as beneficial;
  • Experience in working in a global and international organization is preferred;
  • Full command of the English language (written & spoken); knowledge of any other language would be beneficial.
