We are currently recruiting for aFinance Analystto join our Financial Planning & Analysis team on a permanent basis in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business facing team at Burges Salmon.

As aFinance Analyst, you will become a key member of the commercial finance team, providing fundamental support to the finance business partners and Head of Commercial Finance. You will be delivering real time input and analysis all driven with the key business goals in mind. You will be able to deliver financial information, analysis and advice that will make a genuine difference to decision making and financial performance across the legal teams.

What you'll be doing:
  • Support the business planning processes, including the annual budget and forecast
  • Assist in the production of management accounts with accompanying commentary, explaining variances to budget and forecast
  • Analyse and interpret large volumes of data to show trends and support business cases, which may include scenario modelling
  • Provide support to the Pricing Business Partner on major pitches, tenders and contract renewals
  • Become a proficient user of our Pricing, Budgeting and Matter Management tool
  • Provide support to the Head of Commercial Finance and Finance/Pricing Business Partners on ad-hoc tasks

You will be working closely with the Finance Business Partners and so excellent accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work with complex financial information will be key in this role. You will be highly motivated to develop a career in finance with a view to studying for a professional qualification. Experience in working in a finance team of some capacity is desirable but not essential.
