CT Skills is excited to offer an Apprenticeship with an Award-Winning Niche Accounting firm that specialises in VAT and Tax for Barristers in the North of England.

You'll be working in a supportive coaching environment. Ideas for improvement are encouraged and feedback is always positive and constructive. Working towards your Level 2 AAT qualification, You'll have 1-2-1 Coaching (via teams) with a Skills Coach, Sessions with an AAT Tutor, 6 hours a week spent on apprenticeship work e.g., assignments, independent study, training & development activities. You'll also gain a Mandatory Qualification Certificate in Accounting.

Day to day, you will:
  • Use Dext to review Bills/expenses uploaded by clients and make sure that they are categorised correctly & set up automated rules where applicable.
  • Upload Bank statements into the accounting software.
  • Import income into the Accounting System (currently Xero).
  • Reconcile bank statements & prepare basic journals.
  • Prepare the VAT file for the accountant to review.
  • Manage some client contact, generally via email.
  • Update Karbon with comments and to confirm tasks are complete.
  • Draft ad hoc Admin support such as preparing engagement letters.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
  • £13,260 per year
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (flexible, to be agreed)
