We have a vacancy for Council Tax Revenues Officer Level 2B. The main purpose of the role will be to process documentation relating to Council tax payers\accounts. Deal with customers both verbal and in writing to obtain evidence relating to the customers request.

Key tasks and

responsibilities:

  • Process documents for Council tax accounts\payers within Liberata operational model
  • Deal with High End Recovery work - Charging Order / Bankruptcy cases and prepare paperwork/ liaise with Solicitors
  • Process full range of duties for revenues Level 1 officer role
  • Ensure accounts are amended at the earliest opportunity
  • Process requests for statement of accounts
  • Attend Court Hearings
  • Deal with Summons Surgery calls /visits
  • Process documents regarding insolvency
  • Liaise with internal / external departments
  • Review accounts for Committal / high end recovery ie Charging Orders
  • Process recovery documents received via Anite
  • Ensure requests for supporting evidence are clear and concise.
  • Ensure information relating to customers for other service lines is provided at the earliest opportunity
  • Undertake validation of revenues data and thru-puts.
  • Undertake tracing function for account payers\debtors
  • Ensure work is in line with GDPR guidelines
  • Ensure the Performance Management tool is completed accurately and weekly performance table provided to the Line Manager in a timely manner
  • Play an active role in weekly and monthly Employee review (121) meetings
  • Ensure knowledge is kept up to speed in relation to Liberata and site policies

Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Experience of working the Revenues field
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum 5 grades A-C including English and Maths.
  • Experience\understanding in meeting targets and developing own performance.
  • Competency in use of various IT systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
