Job Description

Equifind are supporting a rapidly expanding multifaceted wealth management business who are on the lookout for a Financial Controller to join the team!

Based in London and Basildon (Essex) they have roughly £4bnAUM across both under management and under administration with only 50 members across the whole group. It’s a brilliant time to join the business as the Finance Director has now moved into a key strategic position, so this hire will be to manage the junior finance members, act on key deliverables, prepare both group reporting, MI packs and MA packs.

Description:

  • Managing the month-end close process.

  • Taking ownership of the month-end close process and the timely and accurate preparation of management accounts.

  • Re-visiting existing processes and controls, automating through software where possible, and streamlining workflows.

  • Developing and maintaining a best practice control environment and consistently striving to enhance the wider financial control environment.

  • FCA regulatory returns, CRS/FATCA reporting, VAT filing and R&D tax credit process.

  • Providing support, training and guidance to junior team members.

  • Work closely with Operations to align processes and improve efficiency of operations.

  • Liaising with auditors and external advisors to produce the annual reports, accounts and tax computations for all group companies.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulation.

  • Management of the staff payroll process from end to end.

  • Oversees cost management to safeguard the business and assets.

  • Cash flow management and reporting.

  • Support the transition to a single general ledger/ERP.

  • Oversight of financial policies and processes.


Application Criteria:

  • ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified

  • 2-4 years PQE

  • Financial services experience

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment

  • Strong communication skills


Compensation:

  • £70,000 - 85,000 base salary

  • Annual performance related bonus
