Gilmartins are looking to recruit a Purchase LedgerFinance Assistant. Our ideal person will have a proactive mindset with a positive attitude.

As Purchase Ledger Finance Assistant, the successful person should be keen to learn, have excellent customer service skills with the aptitude to learn IT systems.

Gilmartins has moved to theWoodside Estate in Houghton Regis(Houghton Hall Park) to a modern, well equipped office with great facilities.

The role:

The successful person will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and subcontractors ensuring timely processing of invoices and other finance related tasks.

Within our Finance team, customers are both internal and external. We are looking for someone with a helpful and can-do attitude, a calm disposition when under pressure and someone able to work well as part of a team.

Main

Responsibilities:


Accurately process purchase invoices and ensure timely payment

Manage and process subcontractor invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms

Reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements and resolve any discrepancies

Assist in month-end closing activities and report generation

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments

Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed

Essential Skills / Experience for this role:

Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger finance role

Experience handling subcontractor invoices is a plus

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a permanent full-time position based in our office (not remote working). Hours of work are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
