We are a small, growing group of popular restaurants based in Glasgow. Reporting to the company director, the Finance Manager will have responsibility for the group’s financial reporting including production of management accounts, cash forecasting, VAT and balance sheet control. You will take on a key role in the group’s year end processes and assist our external accountants.
You will be in charge of all financial reporting, consolidation of the group’s results, supplier accounts payable, processing weekly payroll and generating margin reports. The right candidate for this role will be self-motivated and organised. They will take ownership of the broad range of tasks within their remit and quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the business. There will be room for longer term progression in this role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Management of direct reports
- Cash management including weekly cash reporting and monthly forecasting
- Management of everyday banking reconciliations
- Support the preparation of UK VAT returns with consideration of VAT issues impacting the group
- Responsibility for the revenue postings at month end
- Responsibility for posting of direct costs at month end
- Develop, maintain and constantly look to streamline processes to create efficiencies
Requirements:
- Experience gained in the hospitality sector is preferred but not essential
- Strong financial accounting background
- A proven track record in financial control and strong attention to detail
- Ability to plan and manage own workload in order to meet tight deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of Xero or similar is essential
- Strong Excel and IT skills essential
- Proactive and self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Confident and flexible team player
