My client is a top tier asset manager with a £30Bn private debt portfolio. They are looking to hire a 1st line credit risk director to opine on transactions being originated and oversee the management of an existing portfolio of assets. Transactions are within the private corporate and structured finance debt markets, across from the risk spectrum from investment grade to leveraged loans. The role reports directly into the Head of Credit.

The ideal candidate will have experience in private debt corporate and structured finance market. Exposure to leveraged finance, structured loans and private corporate debt would be preferrable, as well as solid understanding of ratings. In addition, the role will require you to support the business by advising on deal structures, applying ratings and providing written credit risk opinions on all new private debt assets that are presented to the investment committee.

You must be able to demonstrate the following experience:

• Analysing private debt / structured finance in an asset management, FI or rating agency setting
• Some experience of dealing with problem credits.
• Strong knowledge of rating methodology and how it's applied across different investments
