Real Estate Investment Analyst

£60,000 Per annum

The role:

My client is a privately owned real estate company who boast a portfolio of offices and retail assets. With an unparalleled track record in growth, they are looking to appoint a Real Estate Investment Analyst to support the business development and deployment of capital across sectors alongside modelling of new sites, internal and external models.

This role is within the Investment team and involves providing consistent and top-quality investment analyses and market insights to support the decision-making processes of new investments as well as oversight of existing investments.

Candidates are required to have 5+ years of Real Estate investment or advisory experience within either a reputable private equity firm, advisory platform, or investment bank.

Key

responsibilities:

  • Buy-side acquisition and underwriting of real estate assets and portfolios.
  • Building complex financial models in excel to determine viability of potential acquisition and development investments.
  • Performing in depth market research to support key underwriting assumptions and present findings.
  • Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational bench marking.
  • Manage business case development to structuring insightful analyses and gathering input as required for internal and external purposes, including assembly of investment committee memos and presentations to partners (primarily in PowerPoint format).
  • Support the Investment Team in all aspects of the transactional and due diligence process of potential investments, including managing documentation, site visits and coordination of third-party diligence and legal, through the execution of the transaction.
  • Build and maintain working relationships to acquire market insights from internal and external sources, as lenders, appraisers, agents, and research professionals.


Qualifications and Experience
  • The ability to thrive both in an autonomously environment or in a multi stakeholder environment.
  • The candidate must have an outstanding combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation to drive intelligent investments.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills - this will be tested.
  • Extensive experience of working with valuers and lenders.
  • Heavy emphasis on advanced Excel and financial modelling skills - modelling skills will be tested.
