Payroll Manager, 9 - 12m FTC




Location:
Hertfordshire, Greater London. - Hybrid.



Salary:
£70,000 - £75,000 DOE.

JGA are partnering exclusively with an established and highly successful retail brand, seeking a Payroll Manager on an FTC, to oversee their Payroll Operations Function.

The role will manage a payroll team and will require experience of running large payroll functions in excess of 5000 employees.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall payroll operations of two internal payroll functions.
  • Provide legislative and technical payroll advice.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments/deductions.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and compliance.
  • Reconcile and approve payments to HMRC.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Train and develop payroll team members.


Requirements:
  • CIPP or equivalent Payroll Manager Qualification or relevant experience.
  • Extensive payroll management experience within a high volume setting, of at least 5,000 employees.
  • Large team leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll practices, HMRC issues, and year-end processes.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting/analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
