Our client, a Proudly South African manufacturing company, seeks your accounting experience to conduct debtor accounting and other finance related tasks.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Degree or National Diploma in Finance.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience within manufacturing.

Key Performance Areas:
Report to the Financial Controller:

• Debtors Management:

• Allocate all receipts to debtor's accounts.
• Manage the full debtor's portfolio function.
• Resolve all account queries.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices.
• Prepare and allocate credit notes to queries/invoices.
• Prepare and submit weekly uploads.
• Issue and file statements.
• Maintain Master File detail per debtor.
• Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customers payment and remittance to invoices.
• Analyse age analysis and follow up on long outstanding amounts.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly debtors report.

Monthly and Quarterly Reporting:

• Monthly credit note provision and process adjustments.
• Process monthly undelivered sales journal.
• Capture actuals, budget, and forecast.

General Ledger:

• Prepare monthly accrual journals, standard journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Audits and Year-End Processes:

• Liaise with Auditors and provide support where required.

Cash Management:

• Prepare daily cash forecasts and submit reasoning for actuals vs. forecast.

Forex:

• Submit applications for forward cover and spot cover.
• Prepare payment according to maturity dates.
• Raise goods in transit and other possible accruals.

Financial Control:

• Participate in the audit process.
• Protect company assets (working capital & fixed assets).
• Promote good Corporate Governance.
