Calling all immediately available candidates.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMy client is seeking a dedicated Financial Manager to join their team and drive their financial operations to new heights. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of their organization.

This position is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:

• Develop and uphold internal financial and accounting policies and procedures to ensure robust controls.
• Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation supporting all financial transactions.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
• Oversee and contribute to monthly financial reports and statements for Executive Management, Board of Directors, and Audit & Risk Committee.
• Participate in management meetings and report any financial irregularities to the Board for guidance.
• Report financial results to the Group head office.
• Manage and balance inter-group loan, debtors, and creditors accounts.

Budget Preparation and Management:

• Prepare the annual budget and present it to the Board of Directors.
• Support the Managing Director (MD) and senior management in strategic budget management.
• Assist department heads with budgeting and track monthly performance against budgets.
• Approve departmental expenditures against budget allocations.
• Provide MD and senior management with an operating budget, ensuring success through cost analysis.

Revenue Management:

• Assist in setting annual revenue budgets.
• Participate in weekly revenue forecast/tracker updates and provide guidance to Business Development Executives.
• Prepare and analyze monthly revenue reports, highlighting deviations from revenue targets.
• Oversee the monthly increase process based on raw material movements.
• Investigate and comment on Gross Profit (GP) percentage variances.

Stock and Warehouse Management:

• Develop and maintain procedures for stock and warehouse functions to ensure accurate stock accounting.
• Perform monthly stock valuation (raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods) and calculate overhead recovery.
• Attend stock counts to ensure accuracy.

Compliance:

• Ensure timely submission of Workers' Compensation Assessment (WCA) annually.
• Ensure statutory compliance with VAT, Bag Levy, PAYE, and provisional tax submissions and payments.
• Manage and submit supporting documents to SARS for tax verification and disputes.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.

Remuneration and Payroll Administration:

• Assist with the calculation of commissions, salary increases, and management bonuses.
• Oversee the payroll function to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
• Approve new employee remuneration packages.
• Oversee leave administration, ensuring compliance with leave policies.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional CIMA designation would be advantageous.
• 7 years' experience within the manufacturing industry.
