Manager, Actuarial Services - Risk Modeling Services (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, New York, NY. Help clients with actuarial modernization, process improvement, risk and capital management, deals, and financial reporting. Participate in project planning, administration, and economics. Assist with actuarial-related audit and consulting services and insurance tax-related services. Perform budget estimation for existing clients. Provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modeling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Establish and maintain client relationships. Supervise and coach teams.

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $185,910/yr.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressive related work experience.

 

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.

 

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

 

-       Utilizing spreadsheets, database, and other actuarial software-related technologies, including GGY AXIS, SAS, R, MAPS, Python, VBA and/or SQL programming languages;

-       Implementing modeling, valuation, and tax reserving reviews;

-       Performing accounting for derivatives, investments, and debt;

-       Advising financial services and corporate industry clients on how to manage requirements of numerous regulations related to accounting procedures; and,

-       Applying knowledge of derivative use and valuation theory, as well as structured finance transaction accounting policies, application, and audit services.

 

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

 

Domestic and/or international travel up to 20% is required.
