Introduction
To facilitate and contribute towards the generation of balanced, sustainable economic growth through the development of early-stage projects that increase local manufacturing capacity and also reduces the country's dependence on imports.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Screening:
    • Source deals aligned with mandate
    • Network with industry bodies
    • Attend conferences to stay updated with industry developments
    • Address inquiries and conduct pre-screening analysis for new applications
    • Conduct desktop analysis studies to determine viability of early-stage projects
    • Meet with prospective clients and provide advisory on products and services
  • Application Process:
    • Conduct equity valuation discussions and negotiations
    • Perform due diligence investigations
    • Develop financial models and compile submission reports
    • Assist with legal due diligence and term sheet issuance
    • Engage with Credit Risk for timely report submission
    • Present due diligence output to relevant committees
  • Post Approval:
    • Assist clients with compliance requirements and satisfying conditions precedent
    • Conduct inductions on governance framework
    • Participate in project steering committees
    • Oversee project development process and manage approved project budgets
    • Present project development progress at portfolio management meetings
    • Engage with funders for capital raising efforts
    • Engage with strategic stakeholders to ensure project progress
  • Desired Experience & Qualification
    Experience / Skills Required:
    • Minimum 5 years business analysis experience in Engineering, Corporate and/or Project Finance, Credit Analysis, Private Equity or Structured Finance
    • 3-5 years project management in a financial/investment environment
    • Strong risk analysis and report writing skills
    • Ability to independently develop and evaluate financial models
    • Familiarity with corporate, project finance, and private equity transaction agreements
    • Experience with corporate finance valuation techniques
    • Project development and entrepreneurial experience (advantageous)
    • Practical engineering-related experience (advantageous)
    • Practical Project Management experience (advantageous)
    • Willing to travel

    Qualification Requirements:
    • B Engineering Degree with Finance Qualification (CFA) or similar
    • Post Grad at Masters level
