Axon Moore are partnering with an exciting SME in Preston as they look to hire an ambitious Group Finance Manager into their team.

About the role:

Oversee and prepare the monthly group management accounts, including consolidation
Oversee and prepare Balance Sheet Control, completing reconciliations and driving action
Technical Accounting to ensure compliance with accounting standards, particularly around acquisitions and revenue recognition
Oversee and prepare the statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
Manage group cash flow
Compliance with HMRC for corporation tax, VAT, P11D’s and liaising with external advisors
As part of small finance team continuous improvement of process & controls to match growing business
Reconciliation of Revenue

Ad hoc financial and non-financial projects with wider business
The role will gradually grow in size and responsibility and will broaden out into MI, commercial and other areas within the business
Ideal candidate profile:

ACA or ACCA qualified with strong industry experience or a technical industry CIMA who has trained in a technical capacity in a corporate setting
Evidence of being a leader and able to manage people and influence stakeholders
Evidence of thriving in a high-change environment
Proactive thinker and problem solver - somebody who is always in the pursuit of continuous improvement
