Financial Controller | Central MCR (Hybrid) | £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus | PE Backed Tech

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a high growth, highly acquisitive technology business in the heart of Manchester city centre who have created a new role in their team for an ambitious Financial Controller to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Acting as a number 2 to the CFO with a team of 7 direct reports, you will work with all teams across the group to ensure the business achieves it’s goals by providing key financial controls and insights.

As this PE backed business continues to grow both organically and through acquisition, there will be a PE exit on the cards in the future resulting in further progression to Finance Director.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting controls & procedures, tax planning, and financial reporting
Produce monthly consolidated management accounts, manage statutory audits and work with auditors to produce statutory accounts for sign off by the CFO.
Assist in production of the monthly company board pack, working with the Executive Board to ensure timely, informative and succinct reporting on company finances, commercials and operations
Manage the day-to-day cashflow of the group, ensuring each group company maintains a healthy working capital position
Alongside the CFO, manage and deliver the company budgeting process from start to finish, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and robust accountability of financials across the group
Lead the seamless integration of acquired entities into group financial systems and reporting structure, ensuring that financial processes are optimized for efficiency and synergy
Produce monthly consolidated management accounts, manage statutory audits and work with auditors to produce statutory accounts for sign off by the CFO.
Person specification:

ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
Proven leader who can thrive within a progressive, high growth and fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills are a must, with the ability to distil financial and commercial information in to succinct and easily digestible reports and summaries
Previous experience within the technology, software, professional services sectors or with recurring revenue experience would be preferable.
