Doves Farm Foods Ltd is a successful, award-winning, family-owned food business, specialising in artisan, organic and free from flours and foods. It operates a portfolio of loved brands including Doves Farm, FREEE and Wessex Mill. It is based 3 miles outside of Hungerford in the beautiful North Wessex Downs.
Job Role
The job holder will work as part of a small Finance team, assisting the Finance Manager with a variety of tasks and duties. You will have overall responsibility for credit control, bank transactions including receipts and regular bank reconciliations, as well as invoicing and payments for our internet shops.
General Duties and Responsibilities
* Reconciling bank accounts
* Credit control for all customers
* Assist with month end procedures, including closing ledgers and creating financial reports
* Processing government and trade association returns
* Submitting VAT returns
* Maintain farm books and accounts
* EDI invoicing with customers
* Assist with payments and documentation for internet shops
* Understudy Purchase Ledger and Sales Invoicing, providing holiday and sickness cover
Skills and experience
* You have experience of working in a Accounts and office environment
* You have excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and various accounting systems
* You solve problems effectively, and are happy to get stuck in and be hands on
* You have great numerical and communication skills
* You are personable, tactful and diplomatic
* You are able to handle confidential and sensitive information
