Job Description

KRA:

Financial Controlling, Governance and Reporting of Monthly results

• Prepare and publish timely SSEA monthly financial statements working with regional finance team
• Governance of preparation and filing of ABF and regulatory reporting for SSEA countries
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance and provide guidance to the SSEA countries
• Guide on business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Working capital and cash management

• Provide guidance to the team on robust working capital management for the SSEA region
• Share best practices in the area of working capital and cash management across SSEA
• Identify opportunities and risk for better and more effective working capital and cash management

Taxation compliance governance

• Govern compliance with local, state, and federal government tax filings
• Identify financial risks from open tax positions across the region and advice on tax risk management
• Monthly reporting of taxation compliance for regional management and ABM global team
• Drive improvements in tax compliance and tax structuring across the SSEA region

Finance reporting for forecast and budget with focus on balance sheet and working capital

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions for balance sheet and working capital
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of forecast and budget with focus on balance sheet
• Highlight on timely basis potential financial risk exposure to management and plans to counter them
• To explore opportunities for balance sheet working capital and cash performance improvements
• To lead the review and analysis of the plan/forecast balance sheet.

The Successful Applicant

Qualification & Skills:

• Professional post graduate finance qualifications: CA or CPA
• Experience in finance accounting, reporting required and taxation / treasury beneficial
• Experience in manufacturing business (encompassing commodity and value-added businesses)
• Network organization ways of working

Desirable Industry:

FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITY

• Good knowledge of financial governance frameworks, control and risk management
• Strong experience in finance controlling areas of accounting reporting, taxation and treasury
• Good knowledge of planning, budgeting and forecasting from working capital and cash perspective
• Good knowledge of accounting and reporting to be able to handle SSEA FC role independently
