Reference: PE002621-RW-1Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant (FTC) to join their Finance team. Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping practices, as well as a strong work ethic, is required. You will assist with the day-to-day tasks in the Finance department and play an integral role in the processing of invoices and recons, and other administrative, finance and office duties. Based in Port Elizabeth. FTC for 6 months A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.
Requirements:
1 - 2 years relevant experience will be advantageous.
BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent).
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and other packages will be advantageous.
Attention to detail.
Understanding the basic principles of accounting.
Team player.
Ability to prioritise task and deadline driven.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic.
High impact, self-starting individual, resourceful and solutions driven.
Analytically driven.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Full debtors' administration.
Full supplier administration.
Processing bank statement transactions in the cash book.
Petty cash/credit card control.
Processing journal entries.
Assist with monthly recon files.
Support month-end.
VAT reconciliation.
Additional Junior Accountant duties, as necessary.
