Group Regulatory Reporting, Balance Sheet - Permanent Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking an experienced candidate to join the Balance Sheet team within Group Regulatory Reporting (GRR) in Sydney at the Executive level. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience and primarily be involved in monthly and quarterly reporting to regulators, providing support for regulatory reporting change projects, and coordinating and responding to queries received from internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Submitting and supporting the delivery of monthly/quarterly regulatory reporting
  • Managing and analysing impacts of internal changes on external deliverables
  • Supporting the regulatory control function by ensuring adherence with the GRR Control Framework and Risk Rating model
  • Investigating and analysing regulatory reporting queries received from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitating and coordinating internal deliverables for external annual reporting requirements

About you

To be successful, you will have:
  • A degree in Accounting (or similar)
  • CA qualification or equivalent (or on track to gain qualification)
  • Preferably experienced in financial services/investment banking
  • Previous exposure to Regulatory Reporting being a distinct advantage
  • Genuine interest in developing regulatory reporting knowledge
  • Highly motivated and organised with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive and the ability to see multiple tasks through to completion
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and within a cohesive team
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with team members and key stakeholders
  • The ability to manage conflicting responsibilities/requests received from various members of the wider Regulatory Reporting team
  • An analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills
