Role and

Responsibilities:


The Accounts Assistant will play a critical role within the finance department, focusing on invoicing, credit control, and reconciliation duties. Key responsibilities include:

• Inputting, matching, and coding purchase invoices

• Processing payments

• Reconciling supplier payments

• Managing credit control

• Handling Accounts Receivable and sending statements

• Conducting cash forecasting

• Resolving customer billing queries in collaboration with sales colleagues

• Performing bank reconciliations

• Managing finance emails

• Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required

Ideal Candidate Profile & Essential Qualifications:

• Experience in finance clerical roles

• Proficient in handling large volumes of data and financial information

• Strong skills in Outlook and Excel

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to use initiative and work independently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Highly responsible and well-organized

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in Accounts Receivable

• Level 3 AAT qualification or higher with commercial experience in a finance or accounts team

• Understanding of Credit Control and knowledge of Sales, Purchase, and General Ledger
